Jeep Safari excitement in the mystical nature of Cappadocia. Cappadocia is located in a volcanic triangle (these volcanic mountains are Erciyes in Kayseri, Melendiz in Nigde and Hasan in Aksaray) and it was covered with lakes approximately 12 million years ago. These volcanoes were actived and volcanic eruptions began. The hot ash got out from the volcanoes flowed towards the lake, glued each other, cooled off and turned into the rock formations called basalt and tuff layer. Overtime The Lakes got dried and Basalt (Hard rock) cracked and fell down because of the temperature difference between night and day. Tuff Layer (soft layer) eroded conically thanks to the rain water, snow water, rain, flowing, wind etc. Thus mushroom shape fairy chimneys was formed this way. The fairy chimneys which do not have any basalt on them, have eroded and turned into the valleys where you can enjoy Jeep safari.
